If you’re planning to run, expect a lively crowd and a festive atmosphere. Runners will move through downtown while volunteers shower participants with colored powder along the route.

But the run is only part of what’s happening.
Not Running? First Saturday Events Are Happening Too
The Color Run might be the main attraction Saturday morning, but several First Saturday activities and pop-ups are also happening around town. Whether you’re running, cheering, or just wandering downtown, there are plenty of ways to join the fun.
Rock Painting at Overlook Park
The City of Ridgefield will host a family-friendly rock painting station at Overlook Park from 9 AM to 11:30 AM.
Visitors can decorate rocks with colorful patterns, messages, or creative designs. Once finished, participants can take their rock home as a keepsake or hide it somewhere downtown for someone else to discover.
Ridgefield Art Association: Decorate a Flag
The Ridgefield Art Association will also be set up at Overlook Park from 9 AM to 11 AM, inviting visitors to paint decorative flags.
The finished flags will be displayed around downtown Ridgefield as part of the community celebration.
Ivy Pull at Abrams Park
For residents who enjoy hands-on community projects, volunteers are invited to help remove invasive ivy at Abrams Park.
So if you were worried that Ridgefield was getting too fancy with all the growth – don’t worry, quirkiness continues to reign supreme.
Ridgefield Art Gallery Featured Artist Reception
The Ridgefield Art Gallery will host a featured artist reception from 5 PM to 7 PM at 104 N Main Avenue.
The March exhibit highlights artist Diana Lynn Zolotko, with a theme titled “Timestamps.” The exhibit explores moments and objects that capture memory and meaning through various artistic media.
Fairy Hair Pop-Up at Toys on Main
Looking for a little sparkle? Lucky Locks will host a Fairy Hair pop-up at Toys on Main (104 N Main Ave) from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Visitors can add shimmering tinsel strands to their hair—a fun stop for kids, teens, and adults after the Color Run.
Nest Food Truck: Chicken and Waffles Special
If all that activity makes you hungry, Nest Food Truck will be serving a First Saturday special: crispy chicken tenders over a waffle with honey bourbon glaze.
The dish will be available from 11 AM to 9 PM (or until sold out).

Botanas Snack Bar is offering colorful menu specials from 9 AM to 7 PM in celebration of the run.
