Boyse Park Pump Track is Open! Everything You Need to Know About Ridgefield’s New Bike Park

January 29, 2026

If you’ve been hearing buzz about a new “Boyd Park” bike track in the neighborhood, we have great news: the Boyse Park pump track is officially open and ready for riders! Located at the north end of 32nd Avenue, this is the first major feature completed in the city’s new 9-acre neighborhood park.

Whether you are a seasoned mountain biker or a parent looking for a new spot for the kids to burn off energy, here is the current scoop on the track and what is still to come.

What Exactly is a Pump Track?

A pump track is a specialized looping course made of “rollers” (smooth mounds) and “berms” (banked turns). Instead of pedaling, riders use a rhythmic “pumping” body motion to gain and maintain speed.

The Boyse Park track is designed for all skill levels. It features an easy-to-moderate outer loop for beginners and more advanced internal sections for experienced riders. Because the track is paved with asphalt, it provides a smooth, all-weather surface perfect for bikes, scooters, skateboards, and even inline skates.

Know Before You Go: Location and Rules

To keep the park safe and fun for everyone, the City has established a few important guidelines:

  • Address: 905 N 32nd Ave, Ridgefield, WA 98642.

  • Hours: Open daily from dawn to dusk.

  • Parking: A small off-street parking lot is available at the north end of 32nd Avenue.

  • Safety First: Helmets are required for all riders under the age of 17 per local safety codes.

  • No Motors: Motorized vehicles (including gas-powered bikes and heavy electric motorcycles) are strictly prohibited on the track surface.

What’s Coming Next for Boyse Park?

The pump track is just Phase 1 of a much larger vision. The city completed the initial construction in October 2025, and additional landscaping and “minor features” are being added during the current Winter 2025-2026 season.

As funding becomes available for future phases, residents can look forward to:

  • Jump Track: A dedicated area for more advanced “air-time” maneuvers.

  • Restrooms: Permanent facilities to make long park days easier for families.

  • Covered Picnic Shelters: Perfect for community gatherings and shade.

  • Nature Trails: A pedestrian trail connection that will lead down to the Gee Creek tributary.

  • Passive Play Areas: Open grassy spaces for traditional park relaxation.
