Where to Stay in & Around Ridgefield
Whether you're coming for a graduation, a wedding, a weekend at ilani, or just because you finally want to see what all the fuss is about — here's every real lodging option in and around Ridgefield, organized by what kind of trip you're after.
Ridgefield doesn't have a row of chain hotels on Main Street, and honestly, that's part of the charm. What it does have is a surprisingly deep and varied inventory of places to stay — from a brand-new Victorian bed and brunch that opened this year to a resort hotel with Cascade Mountain views, farm stays above horse stables, geodesic domes overlooking the Columbia River, and a state park with riverside yurts. The options spread out in all directions from town, and most of them are no more than 20 minutes from downtown.
This guide covers it all — in Ridgefield proper, right next door in La Center and Woodland, and a bit further south toward Salmon Creek and Vancouver when the options are genuinely worth the short drive. Peak season runs May through August, with June being the most expensive and competitive month thanks to graduations, weddings, and summer tourism. Book early.

The One-of-a-Kind Stay Right Here in Ridgefield
For visitors who want something genuinely special and locally rooted
This is the one. Opened in January 2026 by Bianca and Michael Benson — former Portland food cart operators who appeared on Food Network and the Oprah Winfrey Network — The Allen House is a lovingly restored 1896 Queen Anne Victorian farmhouse sitting on ten acres of pasture, orchard, and meadow. The Bensons grew up near this property. This wasn't an investment; it was a homecoming.
Three suites are available: the Majestic Suite with a four-poster bed, whirlpool tub, and private screened porch (sleeps up to 6); the Nathanial Suite with courtyard views and original Victorian details; and the Elizabeth Suite, light-filled and serene. The whole place is intentionally low-tech — no screens in common areas, no rushing, no pretense. The library, the veranda, and the 130-year-old bones of the house do the entertaining.
The "brunch" part is not an afterthought. Bianca's culinary background means breakfast is made to order, unhurried, and built from estate-grown ingredients — orchard fruit, garden produce, eggs from the resident chickens at Cluckingham Palace. Seasonally, guests can join truffle hunts on the property with trained dogs. The barn is listed on the Washington State Historic Barn Registry. It's five minutes from ilani, and it feels like a different century.

The Resort Hotel — Right in Ridgefield
For visitors who want full-service convenience, stunning views, and everything under one roof
The ilani Hotel opened in 2023 as the most prominent full-service lodging option in the Ridgefield area. The 14-story tower houses 289 rooms and suites — all with floor-to-ceiling views spanning from the Cascade Mountains to the Coast Range. Rooms start at a minimum of 400 square feet, with standard rooms featuring two queen beds, a 65-inch TV, walk-in showers, and locally roasted Keurig coffee. Suites go up to 1,300 square feet with separate bedrooms, full dry bars, and dining tables.
The resort is deliberately self-contained: 12+ restaurants and bars, an indoor/outdoor pool with cabanas and a poolside craft bar, a 24-hour fitness center, a full casino floor, a concert venue (the Cowlitz Ballroom hosts major national acts), and a top-floor restaurant (Bella Vista) with panoramic views that justify the elevator ride alone. Free covered parking and EV charging stations are on-site. Check-in is 4pm, check-out is 11am.
This is the obvious choice for graduation groups, multi-generational families, or anyone who wants maximum convenience without leaving the property. Be aware: a $17.50/night resort fee applies, and pricing spikes dramatically in June — sometimes by 80% or more over standard rates. Book as far in advance as possible for peak season.

These are 5–15 minutes from downtown Ridgefield and often more memorable than any hotel room.
Perched directly above working horse stables, this modern bunkhouse lets you wake up to horses in training below your window. The property includes Black Angus cattle, chickens, and farm dogs. The unit itself is spacious with a king bed and queen Murphy bed — comfortable and surprisingly well-appointed for a working ranch. Gated entry for livestock safety. This is the one to book if you want a true PNW ranch experience within a short drive of everything.

Nearby Hotels — Reliable Options Within 20 Minutes
For visitors who prefer a hotel with predictable amenities and easy access
If Ridgefield's unique stays are booked up — which happens fast during graduation season and summer weekends — the Salmon Creek corridor about 10–15 minutes south on I-5 has a solid cluster of well-rated hotels. And for a full-service Northwest lodge experience in Vancouver, The Heathman is genuinely excellent.
The closest thing to a mountain lodge without actually being in the mountains. Hand-hewn basalt stone, Douglas fir beams, Pendleton blankets, antler sconces — The Heathman delivers an authentic Pacific Northwest aesthetic that ilani gestures at and the Heathman actually lives. The 182 rooms include 20 signature suites with Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, 24-hour fitness, Hudson's Bar & Grill, and over 10,000 square feet of event space. Dog-friendly. Camping, Glamping & RV Parks
For the PNW experience at its most elemental
If the whole point of coming to the Pacific Northwest is to actually be in the Pacific Northwest, a tent or a yurt on the Lewis River makes more sense than a hotel room.
Right on the East Fork Lewis River, just off I-5 — Paradise Point has 79 campsites ranging from primitive woodland walk-ins to partial hookup sites, plus two yurts available year-round. The yurts are 16 feet in diameter, furnished with a bunk bed and futon, and have electric heat and lockable doors. A long sandy beach and a no-wake zone make it genuinely family-friendly for swimming. Washington's first disc golf course is in the park. Honest caveat: the proximity to I-5 means road noise is real for many sites — request a woodland site if quiet matters.
parks.wa.gov — Paradise PointA private campground and RV park tucked among tall fir trees in Ridgefield, with 37 full-hookup RV sites and tent camping available June through August. The mature forest canopy gives each site a sense of privacy that's hard to replicate at more exposed parks. Twenty, 30, and 50-amp service available. Restrooms, showers, an on-site store. Views of Mt. St. Helens on a clear day. No fires allowed — bring a propane fire pit. Mixed reviews online, but it's consistently the closest private camping to downtown Ridgefield.
Call to Reserve: (360) 887-8970Full hookups, convenient location near the Clark County Fairgrounds event center and amphitheater. Practical choice if you're attending a concert at the Sleep Country Amphitheater or an event at the fairgrounds. Not a scenery-forward option, but reliable and well-positioned.

Booking Tips for Peak Season
- June is the most competitive month. Graduations, weddings, and summer tourism hit at the same time. ilani prices can spike 80%+ on June weekends. Book 3–4 months out if possible.
- Tuesday and Thursday are cheaper days to arrive at hotels, if your schedule has flexibility. Saturday is consistently the most expensive night.
- The Allen House books up fast. It only has three suites and only opened in January 2026. If that's the stay you want, don't wait.
- State park yurts require early reservations and can be booked up to a year in advance at reservations.parks.wa.gov.
- Vacation rentals near ilani go early. The cluster of Airbnb/VRBO properties around La Center and Woodland fills up quickly for big weekends — check availability as soon as your dates are confirmed.
- Ask about package deals at ilani. The resort periodically runs packages that bundle dining credits or show tickets with room stays, which can meaningfully offset the nightly rate.
