Big news for Ridgefield families: Pioneer KinderCare is coming to town, and you can already secure your child’s spot.
If you’ve ever wished Ridgefield had a dedicated daycare and early childhood education center right here in the community — without the drive to Vancouver or Battle Ground — your wait is almost over. Pioneer KinderCare is set to open this summer at 408 S 47th Ave, Ridgefield, WA 98642, and enrollment is officially open.
To our knowledge, this will be the first licensed daycare facility in Ridgefield proper — a long time coming for a city that’s grown as fast as ours has.

Meet the Center Director
Kelly Crape will lead Pioneer KinderCare. She brings 10 years of early childhood education experience, including two and a half years as a center director. Kelly earned her bachelor’s degree from Bates College in Tacoma and describes her philosophy as creating a warm, family-focused environment where every child feels valued. She’s a local outdoor enthusiast — camping, hunting, and lake days with family are her thing. Sounds like a good fit for Ridgefield.

Is it accredited? KinderCare is the most accredited child care provider in the country. The Ridgefield center will be state-licensed, with most KinderCare centers achieving additional third-party accreditation beyond state requirements.
Why This Matters for Ridgefield
Ridgefield has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Washington for years, but childcare options within city limits have been almost nonexistent. Families have had to commute to Vancouver, Salmon Creek, or Battle Ground for licensed daycare — adding stress and miles to already busy mornings.
Pioneer KinderCare filling that gap is a meaningful addition to our community infrastructure. If you have a little one — or one on the way — getting on that waitlist now is worth it.
