Compassion 360 Ridgefield Clothing Giveaway Set for March 28

March 17, 2026

Compassion 360 in Ridgefield is hosting a free clothing giveaway on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene (747 Pioneer St). Donations of clothing and nonperishable food go directly to local residents through this volunteer-run program.

It is that time of year for a lot of us – we clean out our closets of items we havent worn in a year (or 5) and pack up items that no longer – in the words of Marie Kondo (who I find slightly terrifying) – SPARKS JOY.

If you are like me you probably load up your car with stuffed black bags full of clothing, shoes with heels puncturing holes through the plastic, and purses (oh, so many purses) and head on over to the Goodwill drop.

Well, a few days ago someone so much smarter than me suggested I skip the Goodwill drop off line this year and instead head on over to Compassion 360. My dum-dum brain never considered Compassion 360 for anything other than food so I did a little investigating –  for all of us.

Compassion 360 is our local option for donating clothing in addition to food—and one that stays directly in the community, and they are organizing a free clothing giveaway later this month.

More About Compassion 360

Compassion 360 recently shared updates on social media highlighting ongoing donation needs and upcoming events. One of the main events is a “Spring Closet Share,” a free clothing giveaway scheduled for Saturday, March 28.

The event is planned from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene on Pioneer Street. According to their posts, the giveaway is open to the community.

A Bit of Background

Compassion 360 operates as a local, volunteer-led charity in Ridgefield. The organization focuses on redistributing donated goods directly to people in need within the community.

In addition to special events, they run a weekly market every Thursday. This market provides access to food and other essentials for local residents.

Recent donation requests highlight a need for nonperishable food items such as peanut butter, pasta, canned goods, and cereal. Clothing donations are also accepted and used for events like the upcoming giveaway.

Why It Matters for Ridgefield Residents

For residents looking to donate, Compassion 360 offers a local alternative where items are redistributed within Ridgefield and surrounding Clark County communities.

No shade on Goodwill, but many donation centers operate as for-profit businesses. In contrast, Compassion 360 relies entirely on volunteers and community contributions.

This means donated items—whether clothing or food—are more likely to go directly to neighbors in need rather than being resold.

What Happens Next

The next major event is the March 28 clothing giveaway. Residents can donate items ahead of time or attend the event if they need clothing.

Compassion 360 will continue its regular Thursday market as well. Donation needs may change, but nonperishable food and usable clothing remain consistent priorities.
